This was painted in early March at the marina in Berkeley. This was the last plein air painting I did before pandemic related stay-at-home orders went into effect. This boat was used for tours in San Francisco for 40 years.

I painted this on a shady summer afternoon in downtown Los Gatos while enjoying theĀ chit chat of with pedestrians passing by. I was pretty happy with the painting of the scene but later felt it needed a bit more actions so added the figures in the Studio.

Angel Island is an absolute treasure for those of us in the San Francisco Bay Area. This studio oil painting was developed from earlier plein air pieces.
This piece received an honorable mention in the 2019 Los Gatos Art Association’s annual juried show.

I painted this plein air piece in a spot near Truckee. The main portion of Martis Creek is a tributary to the Truckee River. I caught this bit as it wound through a marshy early summer meadow.
