Yosemite has always been a special place to me. There is, of course, the absolute grandeur of the place. There is intimacy also. I remember specific small rock formations from childhood visits.
This trip was all about painting for me and photography for my husband who brought his new camera. We spent most of our time enjoying various spots along Tioga Pass Road and up at Glacier Point.
Our timing was perfect for taking in the glow of mountain-pride pestemon flowers tucked into granite outcroppings and along the Tioga Pass Road.
